*Blind test for search engine efficiencey

Microsoft has apparently invested quite a lot of energy into developing and promoting their new search engine. I’ve tested it myself as soon as I heard about it and I wasn’t too enthusiastic about it.

Still, a few days ago I stumbled over a tool (designed by an Microsoft employee by the way) that allows you do a blind test, sending out the same query to three different search engines and (bing, Yahoo! and Google) and you should then vote which results you liked best.

I was surprised…

First enter a query into the search field and clicke the “search” button… you will be displayed three result columns…

… then click the button on top of the column you liked best and you’ll see from which search engine the results came from.
