This reminds me of the case of Brandt Hershman, a state senator in Indiana which was reported to have received monetary benefits from AT&T. Still in the Hershman case Google took the ads down following a trademark complaint by AT&T … However in the case at hand there is no trademark being used, so in theory ads, as long as they do not violate AdWord’s Advertising Policies should be allowed.
